Jen Muir is a Reiki teacher and practitioner based in Coomba Park on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia.

With over two decades of experience, Reiki for Jen has become more than a modality — it is a way of living, listening, and relating. Her work is grounded, spacious, and non-performative, shaped by years of dedicated study and practice.

Rather than layering techniques, Jen works slowly and intentionally. She values depth over accumulation and presence over performance, encouraging students to develop steadiness rather than speed.

Alongside her Reiki teaching, Jen crafts and plays traditional frame drums. Each drum is made individually and held in relationship from beginning to end — allowed to move at its own pace, from birthing through to voice. This same patience and discernment underpin all of her work.

Her dreadlock practice is still taking shape — and that feels right. She has worn her own dreads for nine years and comes to this craft as someone who understands the hair from the inside — as a long-time wearer, and now as a maker. Her approach is organic and unhurried, oriented toward dreads that look like they belong.

Jen offers Reiki sessions, small-group and one-to-one training, intimate drum-making workshops, and dreadlock maintenance — both in person and online where applicable.

Her work is not for everyone — and it is not meant to be. It is for those who value slowness, integrity, and practice guided by listening rather than urgency.
