This drum has been handmade by me using deer hide, naturally dyed with cochineal bugs, and stretched over a hand-crafted 14” paulownia wood frame, made by a fellow artisan whose work I deeply respect.
The hide has been intentionally used inside-out, revealing the flesh side — a choice that honours depth, shadow, and the drum’s raw, powerful voice.
I also hold space for others through private and small-group drum-making journeys, supporting those who feel called to birth their own drum.
